- “Your visit to my classroom with Lana and Amos was fantastic. ...I can’t wait until January when we can spend more time together. I anticipate a huge success with my students and when other teachers find out what is happening in my classroom they will be ‘beating down your door’ to get you to come to their classrooms too!”
- Noel Gamel, Special Education Teacher, Palm Springs Unified School District
K-9 Friendly Visitors is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that relies on donations to keep our programs active. It costs approximately $5000 to train and place a dog in a disabled student’s home, and we are currently raising funds for transportation of our animals. 100% of your donation is tax-deductable.
Your contributions have a profound and positive impact on the indivduals and communities participating in the K-9 Friendly Visitors program. If you support what we do, please consider making a donation. In addition, please tell your local school administrators and state representatives about the benefits of animal therapy, and how programs like K-9 Friendly Visitors can improve the lives and social well-being of countless individuals. K-9 Friendly Visitors provides beneficial services to the deaf, hard of hearing, disabled and special needs students. Our goal is to improve the quality of life and learning experience for all of our clientele while increasing their self esteem and improving cognitive skills. We are not just dogs visiting organizations. We work hard with our partners to create meaningful lesson plans and programs, so the dogs become the catalyst for the students’ growth.
